On June 21, the second "Woyuan Cup" Robot Creative Competition of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was successfully held in the lecture hall of the library. Vice President He Honghua of the College, Director Yang Hongfeng of the Academic Affairs Office, Director Chen Bingsen of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Chief Engineer Ding Xizhi of Woyuan Company, Secretary-General Li Yuming of the Engineering Machinery Association, Secretary Huang Feihua of the Department of Water Conservancy Engineering, Secretary Zhang Haiming of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College Shi Chunli Come to the finals to observe and guide.

Каждая участвующая команда провела долгосрочное соревнование через компьютерное программирование, инженерное проектирование, механическую сборку и в сочетании с их ежедневным накоплением наблюдений. Их работа «Self-balancing Bicycle» успешно создала велосипед без касания с использованием UG моделирования, 3D-печати и технологии фрикционного колеса. Велосипед можно свободно перемещать через мобильный телефон.
At the end of the competition, Director Chen Bingsen, Chief Engineer Ding Xizhi, and Secretary-General Li Yuming all expressed their thoughts. They said that many creative and unique robot works and diversified solutions emerged in the competition, which also illustrates our students' ability to apply professional knowledge. It is very strong. Each team has greatly enriched extracurricular activities by creating different types of robots, turning students' learning into a process full of collision, creativity, experimentation and reflection. Elements such as cooperation and sharing, subject integration, and encouragement of trial and error in robot competitions have promoted the transformation of traditional education models and promoted teaching reform.
This competition is an important measure to implement the Party Central Committee and the State Council’s policy on promoting the craftsman spirit of excellence and accelerating the cultivation of high-skilled talents. In the future, the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering will strive to make the competition an innovative, scientific, and ornamental event, providing a platform for students to display their innovative ideas and provide a competitive exchange platform.
